Practice Living Life
Life to me is just practice. Think about it in terms of being a doctor. Doctors call what they do a practice. It’s not exact. There are no absolute set rules. They just try to do the best they can, trying to care for others and do as little harm in the process. So, for me life is practice. I don’t know if I will ever get it “right”. I don’t even know that I want to get it right. We all have labels put on us and we all are judgemental, some people more than others, yet everyone to some extent does judge another. It’s ingrained in us. Even something as simple as liking or not liking someone’s haircut. It’s a judgement. Where does judgement come from? To me, it stems from what is familiar to us. We use what is familiar to us to try and make sence of new experiences. If we are not familiar with something then it can be exciting or even frightening. Expectation plays a big roll in familiarizing ourselves to something new. You may have heard about something, yet have never experienced it for yourself. Take sex for instance. No one comes into this world knowing what sex is all about. We may get information from different sources, but until we experience it ourselves we will never truly know what it really is. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s not so good. I practice my life by finding experiences that will open my mind and enrich my world. Welcome…welcome to my little piece of the world and join me in sharing life’s practice.
